Music Marketing Blog Post #1

   Music Research 

    The music research chart began with my group choosing two R&B production companies. We choose Atlantic records and Universal Music Group. Then, we choose the artists Cardi B, Bazzi, The Weeknd, and Jhene Aiko to research in depth. 


Then, we had to create an entire new, unique artist. This was a difficult portion of the planning because the song "C'mon Talk" had a different effect on each of us. We decided our artist should have a thrilling, lively personality. The song is fast paced and exciting, making the personality similar. We began brainstorming marketing techniques like creating a website and Instagram. The theme is colorful and dark with purples, yellows, and black.
    We discussed each group members strengths and weaknesses to determine which portion of the project each of us would do. It worked out well because the assignments distributed equally like the marketing campaign, video editing, and storyboard.  I created a website for the artist Marz to showcase a look into his positive personality. It includes links to the Instagram, Youtube, and an email subscription section. Additionally, their is a section for vinyl's to be purchased.
